Narrow Minds Closed Hearts

I am starting to think that the people in the Parish well the ones who carry on as if they are holier than though. Are narrow minded and just totally ugh!

I thought my Aunt was bad enough, she has just gone worse in the last few months. I am not stupid enough to talk about it too much on a blog open to the net. She would just throw it in my face.

Any way she went to church every day, better Catholic than I could ever be and then it turns out that she is poison.

Well now its happening in my own parish, the Stalwart lovely Holier than Thoughs are Hippocrits! Of course my saying that makes me a worse hippocrit but I have to talk about them some where.

So I help out in the running of the church and last night I did the candles because the chap who should do them was on holiday. Just fill up the rack to save someone else the job.

Well they looked like thunder ughhhhhh

Some of them rage against abortion and yet the do not like are lovely foreign priest. He is lovely and although I dare not mention his name, I am afraid that my helpful friendly attitude towards this dear priest could be misconstrued and these women could have him moved.

I would be so angry if that happened!

Narrow minded hippocrits! okay I should be praying for them and I will but I just had to share my thoughts with my blog.

I will pray for them, and I will ask God to open their hearts and minds and remove the bigotry from them. I suppose I should ask God to make me more understanding to their frailties as well.

Blessed Be. Amen.

God gained an Angel

Posts like this should never be written in blogs. Children should be alive, happy, healthy and playing football with their mates.

They shouldn't die because someone decides that its their time, their destiny to go, to leave our mortal coil.

Children die of illness, accident, disease, life limiting illnesses every day, parents usually get chance to say goodbye to their children before they join God and the mass of Angels in Heaven, or head to the Summer Lands or an Afterlife.

But when someone takes a child and decides that today they are not going home, they are never going to see their family or mates ever again. When someone pulls the trigger and shoots a kid dead in a car park near a public house. When someone commits such a heinous act of murder.

Do they really understand the consequences of their actions. The bullet does not just kill the child instantly, it rips the family, the community the city apart and what happens to the person who pulls the trigger.

Do they have a conscience? do they weep and cry and thing for one moment what they have done? or do they just go back to work the next day and forget what they have done.

Is our society so cold, heartless and wicked that people really have no heart for the crime they have committed.

What else can we say about something so painful, so horrible, so incredible that it should be in the pages of fiction, not the front page of the newspaper.

Our hearts go out to your parents, your family, your friends, your community, your city, your country.

Yes last night someone ended Rhys Jones life and today his family are grieving, his community is in shock, his friends in turmoil.

One thing is certain though, Rhys is up there in the Heavens today, free from pain, protected, free from all fear and pain. He is watching over all his family right now and when the time is right, Rhys will communicate with you. Just as so many loved ones, reach out to their lost loved ones, they are only in the room next door. Call their names and they are there.

Although we can never physically see them, we can sense their presence, we can feel their smile. We can take comfort that they are free from pain, and they are happy.

Rhys' life was cut short by a crime that should never have happened. A man was murdered in Warrington last week trying to protect his car. A lad lost his life trying to protect his girl friend. Senseless tragedies each and every one of them. When will we say enough is enough. Rhys should not have died, neither should any one else murdered in a crime of hate or anger.

It is for God to decide when life is over, not us, not criminals. We cried when the World Trade Centre collapsed, we cried when Jamie Bulger was murdered and now we are crying because someone took Rhys from his family.

Eternal rest Grant Unto Rhys O' Lord and let perpetual light shine upon him, may he rest in peace AMEN.

Heavenly Father, bless his family and his friends, grant them comfort and support them through their grief this day and every day that follows.

May the angels, who have Rhys in their charge, bless his family and his friends at this time of such sorrow.

Angels and Earth Saints Walk Amongst Us

Smile at a stranger, help a friend in deed, offer an arm for support, give something to someone with no personal gain, except the immense pleasure you feel.

Be observant, don't judge, be supportive of those who need help, those who say they don't often do.

If someone dies, do not walk on the other side of the road to avoid their loved ones for fear that they may cry.

Ask how are you or how is it going, listen, trully listen to them and nod and help.

Give advice only if its factual and offers them help from an organisation, never say "if that was me I would dump them, walk away or leave them" never judge those around you.

If you see a drunken man, a woman swearing, ask yourself why has this happened to them, what is going on to create this situation?

Are they drunk, if in doubt ask but keep your self safe. You can stand a good distance and still ask them if they are alright.

So how did I get here to write this.

Well last night it was great joy and sadness that I was privileged to watch a woman called Barbara caring for her husband Malcolm.

He was dying, he had Alzheimer's Disease. Like you I thought it was "just dementia" in that they are just a little forgetful and need to be kept safe. I do not want to trivialise dementia but Alzheimer's is NOT just dementia.

Its a killer, its like some invisible force eating away at the sufferers brain and in turn it destroys the will and strength of the ones who care for the loved one. It doesn't just break their back with all the moving and handling, it shatters their hearts into tiny pieces.

But one thing about Barbara one thing about her and her stalwart family and her very good friends is they CARED. You think you care, nurses and doctors think they CARE, people in the Department of Health and Works and Pensions say they CARE. The people who live in the ivory towers of that not very NICE organisation that says its NICE THE NATIONAL INSTITUTE FOR CLINICAL EXCELLENCE SAY THEY CARE.

Excuse my language, like frick they care!

I did care, I cared for my patients. Nurses in my profession said I cared to much!

I don't care about paperwork, or bureaucracy what I care about is keeping someone clean, comfortable, safe and pain free. Which is what most carers want. Yes of course vital signs are vitally important but so is the hands on nursing, the care and compassion to hold someones hand and have the time to do it without others jumping down your throat.

So Carers are Angels and Saints and they walk amongst us. Unfortunately although they may care for a loved one for 10, 20, 30 years they don't get much thanks for doing it.
They get no support from the state and they rely on Friends and Family to get them through the day to day tasks of living and caring for their loved ones.

Barbara was awarded a Very Well deserved MBE and I heartily congratulate her on such an honour.

Yet Barbara and carers like her caring for patients/loved ones with Alzheimer's should not need to care for these loved ones.

Why!!!!!!!!!!!!

Because they're are drugs out there that can help, really help patients and loved ones with this crippling disease and "stop" the degeneration of their bodies and their minds.

Malcolm was around 60 when he died, too young to die! Drugs are out there to help sufferers. I did not say cure I said help.

There are billions of pounds/dollars/euros poured into respite care for Cancer Sufferers, Head Injuries and other serious and quite often life limiting illnesses. Rightly so! but what about this crippling debilitating disease that is causing suffering and heart break, where is the help for them. Why can we not allocate respite care and support for these relatives who CARE in a world that does not seem to CARE.

If one administrator was removed from each hospital today, there would be money enough for Alzheimer's patients. Just one 60,000 pound a year or is it 40,000 per annum would help these Angels and Saints to care for their loved ones.

How much longer much this injustice and degradation continue.

I thank GOD for giving these Angels and Saints the strength they require to do they job they do.
Blessed be.
Barbara if you ever read this then I wish you well, I hope that you are blessed with many good things. Malcolm is in your heart and thanks to you and your family he is in our hearts now and he is comforted by God our saviour, the Divine being of our Universe.

May God send comfort and blessings to you and your family and friends.

Where are the Red Flowers

In 1995 I lost my Gran and I was heart broken. She was everything to me, the stalwart and matriarch of the family. The cement that held everyone stead fast to the hearth.

I had just started Psychology at Liverpool University, it was January and my Gran was gone.
The lecturer told me I had to write a statement to say why I couldn't complete assignments and hand it to her in writing. I had just lost my Gran what more could be said.

Two years later having failed my Psychology degree I embarked on a career that I have fought against for years. Nursing, it was in the blood my Aunt was a nurse, a Matron. I had a lot to live up to.

Three years of struggle, tears and lots of pain and suffering I realised that it was just not me. I was going to fail and then I had a dream.

The dream started with Winter.

A Green Hill barren except for wild grass.
I had decided that there was little point in placing red flowers on that hill for no one ever bothered to collect them.
I went back to a huge building that looks like a Comprehensive School near my home and told the girl "I cannot be bothered to put the red flowers on the hill today, no one ever takes them"
She agreed and then in happened.

My Gran walked into that building, she was happy and well [I had dreamed about her before but this dream was extremely significant to my life, my future].

She said "Where are the red flowers"
I replied "Oh Gran if you want red flowers, I shall give you red flowers!" I was overwhelmed I hugged her tightly.
She hugged me back! she said to me "I am so proud of you!" she hugged me tightly and then the dream was over.

Reality dawned.
Guess what I had passed my Nursing course!!!!!!!! I was a fully qualified, f ully fledged registered nurse. I was over joyed.

I told my Mum, I comforted the two that had failed I felt for them I really did. I knew that pain.

I had to have red flowers so we bought red carnations, my Grans favourite flowers are red carnations.

They are blooming in our garden today, right now in 2007 yes my dream was wonderful and I know without a shadow of a doubt that dreams are telling us things and there is life after death my friends.

Yes I am certain of Guardian Angels

The sudden and horrible tragedy that occurred last Wednesday in Minneapolis is a true sign that there where indeed Guardian Angels.

To all those who lost relations, loved ones and friends my thoughts and prayers are with you.

Yet we can see the miracle of Gods Angels when 60 children on a school bus where saved, tetering on the edge of the bridge. Scrambling for safety and getting out of the awful accident virtually unscathed and unharmed.

God does indeed work in mysterious ways. 60 Guardian Angels alone where guiding those children to safety.

I remember watching Touched by an Angel, and Andrew the Angel of Death being right there when people where going to die. Right there to take them the next world right there with those people who where going to die in an accident.

I have no doubt in my mind that Angels of Death where right there to help those that died in the Bridge Tragedy, to go on to the next world, quickly and painlessly, no suffering, surrounded by angels.

I also recall watching Dead Like Me. Grim Reapers would reap souls that where ready to pass on to the next world. There was a horrible coach crash, it was Millies first assignment.
She saved the toad and the little girl. She thought she could protect the little girl and save her from moving on. It was not for her to decide whether this little girl lived or died it was Gods decision.

Millies boss arrived and told her the error of her judgement, the little girl passed and ran off into a fair ground of beautiful lights. An easy a simply beautiful way for a child to race off into the after life.

Call them what you will, Angels of Death, Grim Reapers. I wholly believe that in that moment of death we meet someone more beautiful and more peaceful than we can ever imagine and there is no pain or fear, we pass into the next life. Not alone but in the company of angels.

Eternal rest grant unto the ones lost in the Minneapolis Bridge Tragedy may they rest in peace Amen, Blessed Be.

If you do not believe in God, he will still send his angels to take charge of you in those final moments.

I have been blessed with know that people pass on to the here after and they talk to me and I answer them in my heart.

Death is an untold story, the greatest adventure we will ever embark upon, alone? No way with Angels yes!

God is All Around

When ever you feel down or emotional you can always turn to God.

There are no rules to this, you do not have to be Christian, you do not have to baptised.

You do not have to believe or follow a religion. God is there for everyone when ever you need him.

The Divine is God, in what ever form you wish or desire for God is every where and in everything and everyone.

When someone smiles, when someone laughs God is there to see and to hear it.

When someone cries, when someone is hurt, God is there to comfort them and heal their pain.

Even in the darkest hour, the darkest day God is with us all the time, in everything we say and do.myLot User Profile

There must be Angels all Around

Talk about flukes or fate, or just extremely goodluck or even divine intervention.

Last week London was in the midst of a crisis, police discovered a car bomb in a Mercedes outside a Nightclub.

It seemed like fate was playing a hand, and Gods' angels where indeed protecting London from carnage.

First of all Paramedics where called out to a man who had taken ill. Outside the Nightclub. On arriving the Paramedics could smell petrol and rightly so informed the police and saved lives.

If the man had not taken ill, and the Paramedics had not been vigilant this could have trully been a disaster.

We hope the man recovered and we are not saying God made him ill so that the Paramedics would get there, no! He just gave the paramedics some guidance and his angels must have been on hand to protect everyone who was at risk from a potential bomb threat.

Then of course Glasgow Airport Terminal. Once again fate, providence or divine intervention played a part in preventing a practically lethal bomb from going off.

Many people risked their lives, did extraordinary things on both occassions and saved lives.

We dread to think what might have happened if the bomb at Glasgow Airport had reached its target :(

We can thank God, the Divine, the Angels for saving the UK from total and utter carnage last week.

May the Angels keep us safe and free from harm and protect our World and help us to take the steps required to bring peace to our world. For all human kind and animal kind, and plant kind.

Everyone has a right to live on this planet, in peace and harmony. To feel safe and to be safe and to know that there are people out there risking their lives to keep all of us safe and free from harm.

Blessed Be and may God who ever he may be, bless all people creatures and plant life. May special blessings be given to our Armed Forces, the Military, the Navy, the Air Force. The United Nations, the Law Enforcers throughout the world, the people who save lives Paramedics, Fire Services, Doctors and Nurses.

May doctors in particular remember their Hippocratic Oath and keep to it and do no harm to others. Let those doctors who have gone astray or are planning to go astray be guided by the love and peace that this message offers them.

As Jesus said on the Cross "Forgive them for they do not know what they do"
